Alice works with elder clients at Ananda Institute in the Geriatric Mental Health Care program. These clients often present with depression, anxiety, and other disorders common in the population. She has been a Certified Domestic Violence facilitator for four years, working with clients mandated for treatment in Ananda's Family Trauma/Recovery and Treatment program. Before coming to Ananda in 2003, Alice managed client care at Marin Treatment Center in opiate replacement therapy, an alternate for heroin addiction. Prior to that, Alice worked with emotionally disturbed teenage boys in a residential treatment program. These young people were coping with demanding situations, learning to function in a challenging world and to acquire life skills. Alice is pleased to be working with diverse populations at Ananda, including families in reunification with CPS, young children with emotional issues, and the general population that seeks treatment in our Community Counseling Services.
