Dr. Mary Flett received her Ph.D. from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California in 1998. She is a licensed clinical psychologist focusing her practice on neuropsychology and elder issues including chronic pain, stroke recovery, and other cognitive challenges. Dr. Flett is affiliated with the Integrative Medicine Program at Sonoma Valley Hospital. She is also a consulting psychologist to several nursing homes and assisted living facilities in Sonoma County.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Flett has been a teacher and trainer for over 30 years, having taught at the undergraduate and graduate level for Santa Rosa Junior College, San Jose State University, Sonoma State University, Chapman University College, and the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. Outside of the classroom, she has conducted workshops in the community on memory enhancement, chronic pain management, and depression.
Her current focus of research is on the challenges and benefits of aging
in the 21st century and how to bring heart and meaning to the aging process.
